I have a warm, smooth, confident voice that is well suited to broadcasting, audio books, documentaries and training programmes in particular. RP.
Described by broadcaster Kenny Toal (ITV News and ITN) as “upper middle class, without being off-puttingly posh” (!), my voice has been likened to that used for the now-infamous M&S food porn adverts. I sound very BBC, with a barely-discernible trace of my distant Yorkshire roots.
The B.J.T.C. (Broadcast & Journalism Training Council) described me as having ‘impressive voice qualities … eminently suited to voice and presentation work’. I have used my voice for radio news broadcasting, article readings for online magazine disability pages and children’s audio story reading. Up-coming projects include short promotional films and online training packages and I would love the opportunity to work on documentary voice-overs.
